OTO POS Waiter Cheat Sheet

Before every order

Training/tenant → your identity → correct table → correct store

Place an order

  1. Select NEW ORDER.
  2. Select Table and Store. Type to search or use the adjacent button to show all choices.
  3. Add items and quantities.
  4. Open the item, choose its side dishes, select the item dialog's SAVE, and confirm the sides appear beneath that item.
  5. Review everything.
  6. SAVE → choose your waiter profile → enter your PIN → Place Order.
  7. Confirm the order clears, then verify it in Orders or the kitchen output.

Your PIN authorizes this order; it does not keep you logged in.

Create the customer's bill

  1. KOT start screen → BILLING → your waiter identity → PIN → LOGIN.
  2. Select the customer's table and review every open order.
  3. Set the quantity for each requested line and use its blue transfer arrow.
  4. Combine all requested items—even across multiple orders—on the bill panel.
  5. Review items, quantities, and total; select SAVE once.
  6. Record the bill ID and confirm unbilled quantities remain on the table.

One table can have multiple orders. A bill may contain all or only some of their quantities. Saving a bill is not the same as paying it.

Discount, when authorized

DISCOUNTS → intended item → ADD → approved configured discount → reason → SAVE DISCOUNTS → verify final total. Bring the cashier the bill ID and the customer's actual tender. Never promise or select an unauthorized discount.

Units

Beer = one bottle · Beer (crate) = a crate — different prices, different stock. The bracket is the only difference on screen, so read the whole tile.

Stop and check

  • Wrong table, store, item, quantity, or note: correct before submitting.
  • No confirmation/timeout: find the order before retrying.
  • MY BILLS cannot display bills: use Orders and ask for help.
  • Before Place Order, correct the line or use Clear, then review again.
  • After Place Order, record the ID and ask a Supervisor to cancel it; saved orders cannot be edited or moved.
  • Printer failed after success: verify the saved order and use the approved fallback; do not recreate it.
  • Another kitchen-order copy requires a Supervisor role or above. Give the Supervisor the order ID and reason.
  • PIN failed: retry your own PIN or escalate—never share PINs.

When asking for help

Give the time, waiter, table, store, order ID, and exact message. Never give your PIN.
